Tea with Trez - Hosted by Signal Sauna
Join Therese/Trez of Heart Beet Herbals LLC on a guided joyful exploration into the wisdom of plants. These sessions center around exploring the tastes and energetics of herbs, building mindful plant relationships, and experiencing different teas and other herbal infusions all while enjoying the sensations of the fire & ice experience. Sessions may include some breath-work, group sharing, and gratitude towards kingdom Plantae!
Since December 2023, the guided tea-tasting sessions called "Tea with Trez" at Signal Sauna have been a joyful and inspirational outlet for me as a community herbalist. Sauna, with its own rich history and capacity for healing, is already such a rejuvenating, communal, and beautifully vulnerable space. Add to that the experience of exploring our senses, getting to know the plants intimately, and drinking a delicious beverage – it is a powerful combination.
The sessions normally go in three rounds. The first round gives us time to settle in to the heat together, becoming present together as a group. After a break to have an optional cold plunge, the second round has us drinking a cup of tea together – without knowing which herb it is. This allows us to dive deeper into our senses – the heat and steam, and the flavors and sensations of the tea. It’s an opportunity to elevate our connection to the tea, the steam, the plants, and the earth. The third and final round we explore an infusion of multiple herbs in the sauna, and talk about aspects of herbalism, energetics, and our local flora.

The Forager's Garden: Restorative Raspberries
